Pat Kotal |
Pat Kotal has been married to Joy for 23 years, and they have a 22-year-old son named
Brian. Pat began his calling career in the fall of 1980 and has called festivals,
anniversary dances, and regular club dances throughout the state of Texas, as well as
extensively in Louisiana and Arkansas. Pat is well known for his unique choreography and
his desire and ability to create an atmosphere of fun and excitement at square dances. He
has taught numerous new dancer classes throughout the greater Houston area, and is known
as one of Houstons premier teachers. Pat and Joy are also well known for their
singing ability, blending their voices in harmony for concerts, both inside and outside
the square dance community. Pat is the musical arranger for the Texas Po Boys, a
group of 4 callers who call and sing in 4-part harmony. Pats college studies
in music, along with his natural abilities enable him to create the unique and intricate
harmonies that the Po Boys are known for. He joined the group in 1991.
Pat is a member of the American Callers Association, and the Texas Callers Association.

Stu Ringer |
Stu has been calling and teaching square dancing in the
Houston area since January of 1982. He began his calling career with the Rainbow Rockers
and is very proud of the 19-year association with this lively group. Besides the Rainbow
Rockers, he is also club caller for Circle 8ers, Cen-ners In and class instructor at
Frontier Squares (14 years) and numerous guest appearances at area clubs. He is extremely
excited about recent accomplishments of the the Texas Po Boys, where he is manager
and sings bass. They have had great success in gaining national recognition at three
recent national square dance conventions, publishing a cassette tape, and completing two
square dance records for Crown Records. |
K.O. Jeanes |
K.O. has been calling in the Houston area for over ten years. He has been club caller for
a number of clubs, including the Curliques, Woodland Stars, Hot Steppers teen club, and
the Huntsville Promenaders. Currently, he is club caller for the Wildcatter Squares. He
has been very active in promoting square dancing among teenagers, working with the Hot
Steppers and encouraging participation throughout the Houston Square Dance Council.He
also is a very versatile entertainer, conducting D.J. programs for non-square dancers plus
teaching Country-Western and Line dancing.
K.O. further utilizes his talents by singing tenor and providing technical sound
support for the Texas Po Boys.

Jay Flowers |
Jay has been in the square dancing community all of his life. Jays parents, JC and
Ruth Flowers, have been calling and dancing since the early 1960s. Jay called his
first dance in 1985 at the age of 19. Jay first met his wife, Jill, at a square dance he
called at her parents club. Jay and Jill reside in League City, Texas along with
their two children, Megan (6) and Kyle (4). Megan and Kyle love to get on stage and
"ham it up" with their dad. Jay actively calls at many festivals, association
dances and club anniversaries throughout Texas and within other states. He has taught many
lessons and calls regularly for two mainstream/plus clubs in the Houston, Texas Area. He
is a member of Callerlab; The Texas Callers Association and The Gulf Coast
Callers Co-op. Jay is especially proud of being a member of The Texas Po Boys,
a harmonizing, square dance caller quartet with a unique sound and varied musical styles.
Jay is known for his energy and uniquely fun, upbeat dances along with a caring,
