The Texas Po' Boys

The Texas Po’ Boys is composed of four professional square dance callers with over 55 years of combined calling experience. The group was formed twelve years ago to provide a unique sound and style of entertainment at special square dance events.
During these specials, the singing calls are presented in four-part harmony by the following four individuals, capitalizing on the musical talents and voice ranges:
-Jay Flowers - lead singer and bookings manager
-Pat Kotal - baritone and musical arranger
-K.O. Jeanes - tenor and sound manager
-Stu Ringer - bass and general manager
The singing calls presented during the dance offer a variety of musical styles, including gospel, country, western, barbershop, and modern musical arrangements.
It has been said that they have the "best harmonies in square dancing".
The group has had great success in gaining national recognition at the last few national conventions, performing concerts, trail end dances, and even singing the National Anthem "A Capella." The Texas Po’ Boys also have published cassettes of their most popular square dance and concert songs, as well as recording two square dance records for the Crown Records label.
